Great gig last night...top little venue

Just wanted to say a big thanks to Chris and everyone at the Sun Inn in Brierfield last night - a little gem of a venue. Earlier start on a Sunday 7pm and ended up finishing about 9.30pm after agreeing to play a few more beyond the encore.

The venue itself is pretty remote (not far from Burnley say in between Burnley and Nelson/Colne) - but easy enough to get to from any direction. Now it has been noted before...loading/unloading isn't the best here as you can see from the pic below the pub is on a junction corner - there is a car park round the back but the playing area is at the front so its easier just to park out front quickly unload then dump yer car in the car park. Not enough to put you off the gig anyway so no big deal.

The playing area is fairly tight too in the 'front corner' of the pub - the 3 of us managed to fit in at a squeeze so don't know how 4/5 piece bands go on. Started around 7pm to a 'not packed but not empty' crowd (supposedly it'd been the Sun Inn golfing championships so a lot of people had been on the ale all day and fucked off home early) - needless to say those that did stick around were brilliant and are very enthusiastic about live music, and it also has to be said how welcoming and helpful everyone was from the moment we turned up to the minute we left.

All in all a great gig and looking forward to returning later in the year (date to be confirmed).

Cheers.
