Not wishing to put you on a downer, But me and Mark called in the Werneth on Saturday night and caught the 2nd set of NWBs Papa Lazarou (ish) ....not kidding mate we doubled the audience.....I'd been down the road at the Colliers earlier to see 10ft FEZ and it was absolutely rammed.....I'd be interested in an honest head count and/or a review of your gig mate as I did one on the Werneth a while back saying it was always 'dead'....I was told Danny is opening a new pub in 'town' and has 'staff' looking after things at the Werneth, I was also told a DIY company had it's eye on the building/land....all the pubs are shutting up that main drag.....grim.....Hope it's a good night for you, but be prepared.....

Guess one must remain positive...the same could be said for most NW venues right now (apart from the Colliers it seems, we must give them a whirl).

The Werneth has always been a regular venue for us with audience numbers largely topped up with Gaz's entourage from Ashton...as you know he recently left the band and now has other commitments. This will defintely be a factor when choosing our venues for 2011 as we look to spread our wings to new gig opportunities.

It's been a while since I spoke to Danny so look forward to hearing about his new plans if what you were told is true...and we hope to support him in any way we can.

For now...we look forward to an enjoyable gig at the Werneth on Saturday.
