Songs that sound the same (following on from the songwriting blog)

Willow said this could be a blog of its own so here it is - basically do you know of any two songs that sound the same in whole or parts...as in "really" sound the same - post the Youtube videos here and show us.

This isn't a songwritier vs covers debate just a bit of fun...I'll start with the 2 videos I put up in the last blog.

Guns N Roses - Paradise City (1988)
Cast - Fine Time (1995)

(It is debated that The La's John Powers who became Cast's founder wrote his song way before Guns N Roses released Paradise City - but although I like the Cast song, I doubt this was the case)

Anyway..here goes:

Mark..really? I don't hear the similarities...some could mistake the drum pattern to sound the same but they're really not...

always thought In City by the Jam was a bit similar to Holidays in the Sun by the Pistols.
Also, the white label album by Diamond Head contains most of Metallicas riffs!!!

@Anthem-Mark : the arpeggios at 2.47 in the Rush track are similar but not the same...
