"It is with much regret that we have to announce today that Harry will
not be able to do the Thunder UK tour. He was admitted to hospital
earlier this week in a great deal of pain, and after much testing, he
was diagnosed with kidney stones. We are told this is a very painful
and debilitating condition, and can flare up at the most inopportune
times. He is not in any danger, but does need treatment, so the rest
of the band decided that rather than put him through it and risk any
shows, or even worse, cancel the tour, the sensible thing was to bring
in a replacement. Harry is of course choked and would have preferred
to do the tour, but common sense has to prevail.
John Tonks is an old friend of the band, and he has agreed to drop
everything to step in and help out at short notice. He is an excellent
drummer, and an all round good chap, so we hope you will make him very
welcome at the shows. He also has a shaved head, which is of course an
extra bonus.
We know you will be disappointed, and it won't be the same without
Harry of course, for all of us, but at least this way the tour will
happen, and Harry can get the treatment he needs. We hope you will
join us in wishing him well."
Poor Harry, thoses stones can be painful!
