Thanks to all who applied

Face Value are pleased to welcome a permanent guitarist to the band in the shape of Chris O'Connell. Chris is an superb guitarist who is well versed in the Genesis tribute band scene and with a fine pedigree coming from his time spent in the Genesis tribute band "The Carpet Crawlers", which he left two years ago. Chris will begin re-learning the songs he knows and adding to our current set. We will make an announcement on his first gig in due course.
This will enable Face Value to re-vamp our set list somewhat, so we will be adding "new" songs next year when Chris is fully up to speed with our current set list. Some great "new" Genesis and Phil songs have been discussed and we are all really excited about this.
Many thanks to all the excellent guitarists who sent in MP3s and applied. It was a really tough decision but in the end after narrowing it down to two Chris is our man.
We would also here and now like to offer a big THANK YOU to Mike Smith, who has been standing in while we found a replacement. Mike it is fair to say , did not know a note of Genesis or Phil's solo songs but stood in superbly, and allowed Face Value to continue playing and not let people down during a difficult time. A stunning blues and rock player, Mike, we wish you all the very best in the future and don't be a stranger please as you have won a place in FV fans hearts.
Best wishes and thanks again

John

Yes the same guy.
Stunning guitarist who would grace any band.
Mike came in and learned two hours worth of music in 13 DAYS....... That's how good the man is.

Mike was only ever helping us out but we are so grateful to him.

Any bands out there..... GET this guy

John, couldn't agree more. He did a solo set at Chevvies II in Warrington between our sets a few years back. Great guitarist.
