What's the longest you ever went without gigging?

Since you became a musician, I mean... not since you were born...


Apart from a quick 1 hour taster gig in May, I haven't played a gig since February this year since The Fix ended

and I'll tell you what - I AM GAGGING FOR IT!!!!

just over 2 weeks will our first full Subliminals gig at the George IV in Padiham, and already I'm getting excited - I just can't flippin wait till I get up there and am able to give the public some of the old Stevie magic once again :)

so that'll be 7 months... what's the longest YOU ever went without gigging?

5 years - and it's 5 years I will never get back.

Packed in Bass guitar in 1993 and started playing again in 2005

played the Swinging Sporran in Mcr in 1995 - played the Weavers in Shaw June this year!!! (Different band I might add!!!) - its all coming back now!!!

If my memory serves me correctly...................played Town Mouse Burnley Jan '81..........................Next gig Jan 2001.

I had 3 months off a good few years ago when I escaped from a cabaret band.
I practically needed therapy after that.

There have been some longish breaks with Brass Routes between lineups but I think that the longest would be between 84 and 87 when my originals band Burgundy split until I played with a short lived outfit called Ugly Martin, it was the year after that that Otis Day and the Nightshift started gigging ( which eventually became Brass Routes sometime in the late 90's)

me and nigel wait for it, 35 years for me and over 30 for nigel, thats a life time, and if it was`nt for a guy called john kenny I would`nt be gigging now either.
