couldn't ask for any more really - from the band, venue & punters
We were all mega excited about this one - our first full 2 hour gig. We'd played a 40 minute taster gig in Accy in May, but this is the 1st proper gig....
would we bottle it? would we go the distance?! would the punters throw rotten fruit at us?? would there BE any punters??
thankfully everyone at the Derby Arms, Colne seemed to like us, and we had a FANTASTIC time
some bits of our performance were a bit rough & ready, but it's punky & spunky stuff, and the energy was there... anyway here's a few clips of what went on... including a truncated Teenage Kicks, which the sheeple absolutely loved (sorry Gary :) - oh by the way, we met a chap at the gig who's well into his punk and he said some lovely things about LGIT)
a few things to brush up on, but overall we LOVED it - very relieved to be back rocking after the demise of me & Ryan's last band - bring on the next gig! and that half time beer - the 1st of the evening - went down as nicely as any beer i've ever had... :)
thank you to Chris & co at the Derby Arms, Colne - great venue, as many of you guys on here already know. We'll be back at the Derby Arms NEXT Saturday at 700pm, as they've very kindly given us a slot in their Colne blues weekend festivities... so if you're in the vicinity, please come & say hello!
