One night, Two Bands

very impressed

went to see a couple of bands tonight. First up, The Truth at the Wheatsheaf in Coppull. Awesome sound lads, impecabley tight and a crackin selection of songs but a terrible shame there wasn't many in. Next up Helvelyn II at the Plough. I have to say it's totally wrong that a young bunch of guys can play the classic old stuff with such passion and commitment, VERY VERY impressed. Their own stuff is pretty bloody dam good too, no wonder they got signed.
If you haven't seen either of these bands, you are totally missing out

@anthem-yeah-the truth go about their trade trade with little or no "shouting" about it, but, as you say-a tight set and damn good to hear? "communication breakdown", for me, has to be one of the best covers on the circuit-steve makes it look so very easy, methinks-the mark of a top muso and the whole band just "gel"?
as for helvelyn2 -ah-for once youth is not wasted on the young,methinks-one would think they have been playing for years-most excellent sounds-always look forward to seeing them. they're one of my bands "tipped for greater things":-D

alreet chaps, its ishy here. just wanted to say thank you very much for the kind words, its always great to hear peoples opinions, (good or bad) but especially from people who know what they are talkin about. cheers for the support, and i would also advise people to go see the truth if you havent. we saw them at the hindley arms (fingers) a while back, a belting set and real tight.
