Probably in that order :-D

Hey guys n gals

Just in case anyone is remotely interested, I went to the Download Festival on my own this year and hooked up with a group called the Loners, which was essentially 50 people who came from all over the UK on their own, and I met some fantastic people....and some complete "not rights" at the same time pmsl

Anyways, some muppet (er...um....) came up with the idea of inviting them all up to Blackpool for the weekend expecting them to all say fook off, but surprisingly, about 20 of them are coming up pmsl.
So we've completely taken over Bob from Happy Daize's hotel for that weekend, so if anyone fancies joining us for a weekend of complete buffoonery, alcohol abuse, music....oh and my burfday on the sunday, then grab a B&B room in Blackpool and come along :-D

The plan is to meet up on the sat morning, go to the pleasure beach and other Blackpool attractions (I use that term very loosely but we have to do it as a majority of them have never been to Blackpool...I'm saying no more lol), then onto the King Eddy for the gig. Then after the gig, it's off into town, then no doubt back to the hotel at silly o'clock to drink the bar dry. (Keef, I hope you and Bob are stocking up lol)

So if you're not gigging, and can get a passout from the missus or hubby, then come along :-D

cheerz

I think Blackpool can probably cope bro. They're used to the entire cast of Braveheart descending on them during Scots Fortnight. ;o)

I love this fact on IMDB

The extras used for the battle scenes were mostly members of the F.C.A., the Irish version of the territorial army. As they were drawn from many different army companies, and the members of these are usually drawn from the same locality, local rivalry between such companies is common. Apparently, some of the battle scenes seen in the movie are far more realistic than you might imagine, with rival companies actually using the occasion to try the beat the lard out of each other.

Considering it was Irishmen pretending to be Scotsmen, that's a LOT of lard. :oO

"Considering it was Irishmen pretending to be Scotsmen, that's a LOT of lard. :oO " sounds like Celtic park at an old firm Derby !
