Whalley Arms Clitheroe Cancelling Gigs

Ring the Venue

There have been a few previous blogs on here about the Whalley Arms and whether they are honouring bookings so I rang them to get the low down. They would not commit to cancelling all bands that are booked, but I would STRONGLY suggest ringing the Venue before turning up to play. The landlord has left and it's been taken over by someone else. Basically if things don't pick up there will ne NO bands at all. The contact is Guy on 07974 088679. I told him that we expected to get a reasonable crowd in, but he pointed out there were only 2 people in there now (Sun evening) so in other words taking a crowd in on the night will NOT balance his books and release funds to pay bands. Cheers VinnyCC

I think with the current climate it is probably just good practise to ring ALL venues to confirm gigs prior to committing.

The only thing worse than a cancelled gig is a gig that you find out is cancelled when you get there!

Cheers for the heads up CC (is it Vinny?)
