Wow its gotten hard getting gigs

2 so far for the whole of 2011

I have to admit I have never struggled so much to get Wolfpack gigs in the past, in fact we've had em queuing to book us but how hard has it got now? So far we've only managed to get 2 in the whole of 2011, one in January and one in September!!!

It's also got a lot to do with me not being on the ball with the Marseille tour and I was late off the starting blocks this year but sadly unless we can get a few more in then we're in danger of just fading away, like these thigs often happen!

If you are a landlord looking for a quality night then I am sure there's enough people on here that will back us up and tell you we're a good night and we put on a BIG show with lotsa lights, dry ice, big PA the works!

gigs are like buses mate...nothing for a while.then they all come at once... keep the faith, you'll get sorted, quality always comes out...bill

we just had a drastic line up change an we will only start touting for gigs next year, so by that time we will struggle to squeeze into any venues list, so you arnt on your own Nige, some venues panic buy the bands and give them four bookings a year to fill the years entertainment, if they put more variety into the bookings and put more bands on we all would stand a chance of a better slice of the cake, some bands are out every friday and saturday night, have a night off guys and give another band a chance. hope this dont open the preverbial can of worms, he he, and when a cancelation comes up on here its like we all have a big red button next to the computer first to hit it wins, rock n roll ehh.

Where abouts are you based and how far are you prepared to travel? I could maybe give you some names of venues you might not have tried yet...?

@ Bill Rollercoaster - dead right there mate. I had very little in the book at the start of november, now we have 30-odd in. Bide yer time guys, I've seen what your capable of and I know there's a lot of people on here who know you a lot better than I do. With your rep the diary will fill up.

there are lots of good rock bands on here Rick, only this morning i have heard of yet another pub that has openly admitted the bands night are loosing money and they have pulled the plug on the bookings they have, Sabre included, however i have the confidence to cut a deal with the venue to sugest, "A sucsessful night and a normal fee", now is the time to work harder and pull in the punters and following. times are going to get worse, and we will have to go that little bit farther to enshure the nights are a sucsess in the venues we play, likewise venues must do more than be happy to just stick a few posters up and hope for the best.

WE travel as far north as Lancaster and to North Wales to do worthwhile shows. We are limited in that we won't compromise our show as it is pretty big, for instance we have been offered but cannot do The Man & Scythe in Bolton and Bike & Hound in Hyde as we simply can't get all our gear in! Thanks for the kind words though chaps i am sure it will all work out ;-)
