Just watched

Just watched Westlife (Yea I know, I know) doing their latest single on tele and they were all wearing ear monitors, but still had four bloody big powered monitors arranged in front of them.......were they nessesary or just for show????
I was under the impression ear monitors allowed you to get rid of the front ones!!!!

I use ear monitors now Charlie but i still have a wedge monitor in front of me so the rest of the lads can hear me, and also to rest my foot on LOL, but if Westlife had both then it would appear to be for sow mate yes!

might just be a standard setup in the studio where the recording was taken

they were, probably, ear pieces to allow them to take directions from the studio manager telling them which cameras were on them or where the lights were on any given part of the studio floor? ;-D

@Wolfpack cheers Nige lol yea I've seen you use yours as a footstool, I was just curious why ear monitors plus four out front, probably just to fill the stage out

@glyn It was Alan Titchmarsh show, he has various live acts on to finish off with so the stage setup varies, but thanks for the input

@Mr V ... don't matter what the words are, it's just a ruse so their fans think they can actually read!
OOh look at <insert Westlife boy here> ... he can READ!! <swoooon>
