nothing like a bit of casual racism to get past it though ;)

seriously though - more bad news this. a real shame to see another venue go :(

New place will be called the 'Lite Hart'....sorry.....
All these pubs & venues closing down is bad news and unless people start supporting their local venues were all fucked.
I feel an ASDA, X-Factor, Under-the-thumb Blokes, Recession RANT coming on soon.....

Amended for the offended...I'm a poet and I didn't know it.

And the Statesmen you need to be a bit more careful with your insinuation there mate...if you knew what I did for a job you'd know I'm not 'that'.

I'm offended that the comment has been removed cos I found it funny.
lol

So it's ok for Scotsmen to be called Jocks
And Irish to be called Paddy's
English to be called Pommes
etc etc etc

Does anyone genuinely get offended by these things, or is it the usual PC brigade who attack things because they "think" someone will be offended, when in most cases, they really couldn't give a flying fook?

sorry dean (i think it's dean who's posting for sugar bullets)

i wasn't offended at all - just surprised at the casualness of the derogatory term being used. didn't mean to insinuate anything serious mate - if you knew how dodgy my 'sense of humour' could be you'd know that too ;) things don't come across too well in text form sometimes. no hard feelings matey.

I wouldn't know how to be serious...it's too much like hard work pmsl

I'm good mate, still knockin the s**t outa me drums with the Bullets, just enjoying every opportunity what with all these venues closing etc.

You know it's nearly a year since I saw you at the Banner for the Charity do...seems like 5 mins ago. Since then our singer left the band and Phil our guitarist took over as lead gob. IMO this line-up is the best I've played with the SB so long may it last.

I don't even have to ask how you boys are doing, your name's cropping up everywhere I go at the minute. Any chance of arranging a date over Bury way...Towler in Totti or The Brook in Rammy maybe?

Cheers
Dean

Good to hear it, them drums need put in their place regularly lol

Yeah I thought you guys were superb at the charity do but haven't seen you as a 3 piece.

As for the Towler, we have been told both by the old Landlord and the new Landlady that they already have Metallica_UK on their books so for now, they just want to stick with them, which is a shame cos we would love to play the Towler but totally understandable from a venue's point of view. If things change they are going to give us a shout.
Have you got any details for The Brook in Ramsbottom. Not tried there.
