For Parkinsons Trust whos prepared to sponsor me to use a different bass in all our gigs before hand

Just thought it might be interesting and will raise a few more pounds for this worthy cause. We have 12 gigs booked in and i will use a different bass for every gig. I have used my normal bass already this year so it will be 12 new ones before the charity night proofed by a photo on here every gig. That will be 13 different guitars used so any sponsorship will be times by 13 ie £1 x 13 = £13. Is anyone prepared to sponsor me as I am prepared to do it and it wont be easy but worth it if i can raise some money

Nigel

I mean for the whole night not just one song

I love doing sponsorships which include a challenge ... not just the usual £5 for turning up ....... so, Nigel, let me know the following :
Where are the 12 basses coming from?
1) Do you already own them?
Or
2) are you having to beg borrow or steal them as you go along, not knowing right at this time if it's achievable?

If the answer is (truthfully) 2 then I will pledge £5 for every gig with a picture of a different bass AND the story of how the bass was acquired (with e-mail addresses of donors etc)

That will be 12 x new basses at 12 gigs - that will mean I'll hand over £60

I'll need a Musician's Union contract and a written definition of "new bass" ...........
KIDDDDDDDDDDDDING!!!!!!!!! send me the pics and the info, i'll hand over the money no worries

Love it! Better than sponsoring your local meff to "do" a marathon!
:0)

Let's Go!!!

Nige, I know you've got tons of bass guitars ect....

So a quid each from me and Anne = £26, yeah,

Well Done and tell Moray and Denise to match our donation,

Rick.

I am afraid Willow the answer will be some of 1 and perhaps some of 2 I dont actually know how many basses ive got and i know this may sound strange but I have a room in my cellar full of guitars etc left over from when I use to sell them on a regular basis. The whole room is in mayhem and Alec from Night Train can vouch for this because he's seen it. Anyway I dont actually know how many different models I still have and how many of them are playable so I cannot give you a definate answer. i probably have at least 8 I could use and then maybe have to borrow 4 but it could be different. I certainly will post the pictures and let you know the models etc but you will have to give me a few days to put things together as i only thought of the idea last night
Anyway thanks for taking an interest and hopefully your sponsorship.
Rick thanks for your sponsorship I knew I could rely on you and Anne. Denise and Moray better match you and Annes contribution otherwise there will be trouble

Indeed, I have been in 'the cellar'...I got a bass, and a very nice one it is too!
He's got millions, all in boxes :D

just a thought nige..in order to answer everyones questions, sort ur bass guitars, spread the word a bit more and get some sponsorship why don't you start when there's 10 gigs...still time for rafts of cash to be made but u get a bit more prep time to sort it...just a thought x
