Yep I've heard that too mate. Nowt official yet tho.Frankie
Heart attack in Spain apparently.
A huge loss to the guitaring community. I wasn't keen on his blues playing but he was a big influence on me when he played rock. RIP
Playing his stuff on Planet Rock now, with no talkin inbetween tracks.
Bloody hell thats a big loss...although I too never really got into his blues stuff...loved Parisienne Walkways...was only talking about him last night too.
amazing guitarist, listening to run for cover now

Rip Gary. Fucking hell.!
Grew up listening to him, he could do it all, rock, blues, fusion and more feeling than most of his peers.
BBC NEWS Cant believe it ! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-12377862
Gutted! will have to do a couple of his songs tonight, as respect for a mega guitarist RIP Mr Gary Moore.
Cannot believe this. An absolutely phenomenal guitarist - what a huge, huge loss.
we will be dedicating our gig next Saturday to Gary
and this, sheer class, part of many reasons i love this album is cos Gary is on it
Rock guitarist Gary Moore diesGary Moore Gary Moore was a guitarist with Thin Lizzy and was also acclaimed for his solo workThe renowned rock guitarist Gary Moore has died, the BBC has learned.Mr Moore, 58, was, originally from Belfast, and was a former member of the legendary Irish group Thin Lizzy.Adam Parsons, who manages Thin Lizzy, told the BBC that Mr Moore had died in the early hours of Sunday morning.Mr Moore was originally drafted into Thin Lizzy by its singer Phil Lynott. He later gained acclaim for his solo work and was a former member of the Irish group Skid Row.
I saw him once in the mid 80's in Blackburn and then at the 'welcome to the garden party' gig at Milton Keynes. He kept his big trench coat on for the entire Blackburn gig and must have lost a stone in sweat. A great rock guitarist.
Gutted, he was one of my main influences. His work with Colluseum 2 set him apart from most rock guitarists. R.I.P Gary, now performing at the great gig in the sky :(
RIP Gary. Top axeman
Fkn sick :-< Biggest influence on me by far and not usually arsed when someone pegs it but thats stunned me. R.I.P. And thanks for everything....legend doesnt quite do ya justice.
The messiah will come again.
Massive loss!!
Gutted, met him some years ago and he taught me some bluesy licks - easy to play but very effective - he was a real nice guy, one of the greats. Like someone said, normally just say oh well, another gone - but this hurts.Off to see BYD later - will we get a Mr C tribute? Hope so.RIP Gary, your legend will live on.
Good Times .but both gone now ! Bad Times The 2 Boys are back in town up there now ! Top solo to !
I've been thinking of ways in which to pay tribute to this guitar legend... I've learned "Devil In Her Heart" so far... Too bad my Les Paul's in bad nick atm so I've done it on my Jem. I thought of getting a jam together with a few others... Don't know if the idea will ever come to fruition but we'll see...
Very unexpected. RIP :(
What a blow! Saw Gary Moore countless times. He could play any style really, rock, blues, jazz fusion, metal. He's left an amazing body of work that was successful, dynamic, varied, rich and that I don't think will ever be matched again. If i could pick one moment of his recorded career, it would be the end of the live in Stockholm video playing The Loner...RIP
There are hundreds of messages per minute being written on this track alone on youtube from all over trhe world,
Gutted....deffo my favourite guitarist. Saw him live twice absolutely awesome....R.I.P. lost in your love...A different beat is a top tune. Aiden
a very sad loss to music of an outstanding talent, and,by all reports, a real good guy.
Terrible news. Another legend gone too soon.
I had the pleasure of meeting Gary Moore in 1980 at Preston, feckin top,top bloke.

Not the biggest fan, but always sad to see one of the greats go. RIP Gary.
Loved his playing.Got Back On The Streets and loved it back in 79.Sad day :-(
Run for Cover is superb, got Glenn Hughes on it too :0)he always been one of the most popular guitarists in this country, i worked in a music shop in the early 90s and this guy says " i wish i could play and sound like Gary Moore" my response was "me too" :0)
Empty rooms is one of my faves! Very sad day indeed
