Black Dog review

A great venue.

A quick review of the Black dog in Ozwaldtwistle on Saturday.

We were really looking forward to playing there following the reviews from other bands over recent weeks.

We had a great time.
Jay and all the staff and customers couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. They helped us unload and load in the p'''in rain. Large set up area just to the right as you go in, no steps, big car park to rear. lots of sockets and some usefull lights already there. Especially liked the multi effect lazer. May even look at buying one ourselves.
cases etc can be stored saefely away in a secure room by the bar.

Thought the weather might have kept a few people away but the folk of Oz really enjoy their live music and it really picked up during the second set. Some nice funky dancing and lots of interaction with the crowd.

A pleasure to play there.

Hope the new camera worked ok Jay and look forward to seeing some of the shots.

Thanks to Jay and all at the Black Dog and good luck with Wednesday night (there's a stripper on you know).

I nearly fainted Al when they came out to help unload!!!
... with big respect to the people who came in during the 2nd set (and the ones who were there for the 1st and stayed :0) ), I'd have been reluctant to leave whatever nice warm cosy pub I was already in, to get blown away and pissed wet through trekking to another pub to see a band I'd never heard of!!
TFL and the rest of the bands who play there, you'll love it (we gave you a mention TFL - have a good 'un!)

Thanks for the mention Jez, yeah really looking forward to the gig. Got a few friends out that way coming to see us. We played a birthday bash there many years ago. Anyone remember us?

I remember you from when we booked you at the town mouse in Burnley and the landlady asked if you could turn the drums down... then I explained to her what TFL stood for!!!

Thanks for the review guys. I will add our review shortly, we have been busy decorating the pub. Pictures came out great. Will upload them to our facebook page and link it for you soon.

Jay.
