Venue review

This is an easy to find venue on a main road.

There is a nice wide pavement to park on right outside as you get your gear in, then plenty of parking down a side road.

Load in through double doors up two steps, then slight left and into the playing area, which is the pool room with the table moved to the right hand side (as you look from the pub).

Double sockets next to the pool table and an extension on the other side of the room give ample power.

Although the playing area could look small, we set up the kit at an angle in the back corner and everything else following that line and had plenty of room; I think even a five piece would get in with reasonable ease.

Nat (the landlady) is lovely and very helpful - and she moved furniture for us to give a better view and more room for dancing.

There are some inhouse lights on the 'dance floor' but you will want to take your own lights for the band.

The pub itself is a great little venue, but it is 'U' shaped, so you play to half the pub, and the other half are on your left, but you can't see them! You CAN hear them however!

Another new venue for us, and we are very much looking forwards to a return when we can fit it in.

I love it in there as a punter although the postcode does look a bit gay.
