The Griffin last night

A thankyou

I wasn't going to post anything up about last nights gig. I don't generally do it. No particular reason.

However, last nights gig at the Griffin in Earlstown was an exception.

The venue being a great place to set up and play in aside, Wez and Jo were great with us, and the presence of old and new friends, some in bands, some not, made the night a lot more enjoyable than a regular gig.

Met members of the Lazzy Band, Jump the Shark, Kingpin, LGIT, Sticky Fingers, Northern Riot and had a great time chewing the fat before and after playing. The lack of ego in all these folks was great to see, and Wez & Jo made us feel very welcome indeed.

So this is basically a thankyou to all that came to see us. We really appreciated it. I hope you all have as good a next gig as we had last night. :o)

Gary (LGIT), I was looking forward to chatting with you later but you had to go. No worries. I had a cheeky little jibe about it on Wez's first video clip. :oD

Btw, if anyone chooses to see this as a "clique" or kissing arse thread, feel free to say so. Your opinion is less than unimportant to me. ;o)

Mick - you were awesome, and I have seldom smiled so much in one night!

Took me a year to catch you, but I for one will definitely be back for more...

Sorry Mr Horsie...I only planned to stop for the first set as I had an early start in work this morning, but managed to catch half the second set too.....I have to say It was a pleasure for you to meet me and I really enjoyed a few of your tunes...most refreshing to hear something different and played well too...next time I'll plan to stay the whole night...I hate having to go when I'm enjoying myself.
I hate Duran Duran but have been humming Hungry Like the Wolf all bloody day...nice to meet the NWB lads too and the Griffin is a beltin' venue...It's also fair to say you went down rather well too, so well done Bad Horsie.

Not usually too late for us 'ageing' rockers but I did have an early start next day....enjoyed it mate, will hopefully see you again....
