A weekly NWB email newsletter

Should we have one? and what should it contain?

I'm toying with the idea of a weekly newsletter, with a round up what's been happening on the site

Is this a good idea? - What features would you like to see?

1) Hot blog posts for that week
2) Upcoming gigs for the weekend
3) New Venues that have signed up
4) Venues looking for bands?

Anything else?

A reminder of links that will earn the site a little cash?
A summary/highlights of items for sale by members?

A summary for the week of interesting stuff that could of been missed would be a good idea, especially for the ones that only seldom visit the site,

Rick.

maybe the nwb'ers who visit bands in their spare time could lend a hand, maybe gig reviews and band critiques?? for new bands and even ones of old who are still rockin strong ? make it a feature every month ?

a list of members who offer their services ?? eg ST who does the guys a great shoot ??

Band of the month ? with a band pic similar to the home page, just to get a good view of all members

links to practice rooms ect ?

Reviews good. Ads good. Band (chosen at random) interviews good. Reviews of any releases good. Long email duplicating much of the content on here already not good.

It'd be good to see a band of the week feature. Maybe a generic set of questions that bands can fill in. Those that can be arsed get a chance to go on the feature..? I'd like to see some band reviews by venues/fans/other bands. Positive stuff rather than slagging off of course. If you ain't got anything good to say then don't say anything. Would e good to post it on FB, we'd share the link out to all our fanbase.
