Behringer BX3000T - VERY VERY GOOD - and I've tried to break mine (in the context of working it flat-out) and the fecker is still going strong!!

I can highly recommend the hartke ha amps mines done hundreds of gigs since 2000 ,only back end of last year did i have a problem when one of the amps inside went down ,its a ha5000 and has two 250watt amps onboard i keep meaning to get it fixed but it battles on o.k with just the bass side working and is easily still powerful enough to cut through, there is so much tonal flexibility there i can still operate normally.

I had a hartke.....use the term 'had' mine has just broke and cant be fixed. But they are great amps as ive had mine for 6 yrs and up till now never had a prob. If money is not an issue, tell him to get a Mark Bass, shit hot and really light

@best of foo , concur with the lightweight gear i'm currently saving my gig pennies for a lightweight rig i've tried the markbass, ibanez promethean, eden wtx-500 , i love my hartke gear but my back no longer has the same love in with it , the 2.5xl i use isn't mega heavy but i can get the same out of an ibanez promethean setup at less than half the weight , i do wonder about the roadworthiness of the lightweight gear though, i'm going to keep my hartke gear as 'back' up

My tastes are not that expensive. I`ve used the same Peavey Mk4 amp head for the past 20years with no probs what so ever. and thats a LOT of Gigs ....... Hadge from Hydra
