dodgy bookings/ mix ups we're avoiding in future
Got an answer to a PM i sent after they advertised for acoustic duos booking Steve and myself for an acoustic set on the 23rd April from a guy who signed his PM off as "Phil" then got another changing the date to the 17th April , then another switching it back to the 23rd April , Steve and myself turned up on the 23rd to be turned away by the barman " we dont do bands on a Sat mate" I said the booking was via PM on NWB and was told "Were not on Northwestbands bud never heard of it"

I pointed out Steve had sent posters out 3 weeks ago "never got em mate"
Luckily i was able to bring up the PMs on my blackberry and I was ushered upstairs to meet "Phil" who point blank stated hed never booked us or PMd us, When I showed him the PMs on the BB he stuck to his guns, suggesting his account may have been hacked, I said I would have to bring the matter to the attention of the management and the MU , to which he offered to pay us off with some petrol money, after discussions with Steve we accepted the petrol money, however I certainly wont be accepting any more bookings not withstanding were pretty much booked up and Id advise any bands that are contacted by ths venue , or booked to play to be careful.
