Strange gig expectations....................

Our foray into clubland was ermmm....................................

When ever we do a gig at a place you always have an expectation of how the night will go,

Well last night we played a one off at a local club for a favour, the local age is pretty high, the club normally entertains solo/duo artists with backinf tracks - you know the stuff.

So to have a 5 piece rock band - known for having a large PA (the amount of gear we use does frighten a few venue owners/local - but it does have a working volume control!) was not something a lot of the locals where probably looking forward to !

As the night set off, it was busy already bit of a curiosity shop i think tbh at first lol - but bloody hell how warm was it ! - three changes of clothes for me through the night - and the crowd - well its been a long time since Ive heard so many people going mad at the end of the night for more - top night!

Was a great gig for Vankwish - thanks to all who attended see you all soon !

Moral of the story - do not just the venue or its clientel until the gig has finished.

Though the bingo break really didnt do it for us lol - back to the pubs.

Glad you had a good one.
Weird isn't it when you have those nights.
Sounds very similar to our gig on friday.
Our third time at the Hop Vine in Burscough which is an eatery rather than a live music venue and each time we've played there we've been stressed out at the lack of time/space we have to set up, the fact that we have to leave half the lights and monitors in the van due to space restrictions and that some of our better songs are left out to be replaced by more maintream songs, but by the end of the night the place is always rocking and the audience always wanting more.

Footage from Friday 4th song in, just didn't expect this from an audience that's just finished mopping up their plates.
