in Widnes
What a gig. Bit of a trek to Widnes, but the combination of my first chance to see NWBers Last Gang In Town, and the legendary UK Subs was too good to miss and well worth the trip out from Rochdale.
LGIT played the classics from punks big times in the late 70s and some of my favourites from Dead Kennedys, Stiff Little Fingers, The Ruts and even Crass's Banned From The Roxy which I haven't heard live for about 30 years.
All very well played and a great show by Last Gang In Town, bringing back memories of good times. Got myself a LGIT teeshirt too.
UK Subs were every bit as good as expected, Charlie Harper still has it in him at 60 odd to put on a great show and it was. They played some new songs off recent albums and some of their old classics which got the crowd going more and everyone seemed to have a great night.
