Just a Thank You- still buzzing great expereince!

A thanks to the reception I had at my spot at Marigold 9 PM last night-

Was very surprised at how many people they rammed into the room- was met with a sea heads and arms- people on shoulders- arm waving and lighters for the slow songs!!

My job is very very easy when an audience is that receptive- I was taken aback and in awe of the support I received-

Sandwiched inbetween two full bands in the big room, one man and one guitar did his best Noel Gallagher impression and did OK

Then into the little room with my little amp and lots of the crowd followed for more and I did a two hour acoustic sing along set-

Two things I learned that night- you can carry on playing when your fingers are bleeding and the girls of Darwen are very very straight forward!! Never had as many offers for help to get my gear in the van!

Cheers again- excellently ran night well done!

Hi Andy
I was talking to Campbell (the soundman at Marigolds) today, he was raving about your set and said you knocked 'em dead. Nice one

Was a good experience- - was like the days of supporting big acts- place was rammed full a sea of beans as they say - all I could see were heads, arms in the air and when they started to get on shoulders -- the odd set of boobs- not been flashed for a while!! Singing like a football crowd and I sat down too -

Good when solo acoustic can play the big stages stuck between two full bands and have the place bouncing- was asked to do main stage next year as a result !! Was easy- I love Oasis the songs are easy to play and sing and the crowd clearly loved em- and I went on at the same time as Billy Bragg and if you want a good time your not going to go and watch him now are you- lots came for just the Oasis stuff I was told- I was advertised as an Oasis trubute (which I was) and I am very glad people weren't disappointed!!

Thank you very much - I was surprsed how full it got in there when I was on- and yes I did two hours in the back room too for the drinkers- had a good crowd in there watching me- meant I couldnt see anyone else but was well worth it

I hope you sang along as much as everyone else! Was like a football crowd- I could hardly hear- and then I couldn't get oout of the room for about an hour- got asked to sign some stuff - a CD that wasn't me- a t shirt- a plectrum one of my cards - was weird and sign a couple of body parts on some scantily clad women- this I refused for health and saftey reasons!!!!

Andy man!
I was in Cue Music Darwen today, they provided the PA for Marigolds stage, and they were saying how you'd had a great gig...nice one! It seems you've vindicated the cause and showed everyone that a solo guit/voc can rock out with an acoustic.
