We've played a lot of great venues that we love, just wondering what your favorite venues are?
Marigolds springs to mind! Great audience and Midnight start! Not K2 Ha lol How ya doing?
So why've you not listed yours then...???
I like the Flying Shuttle in Bury (never played there) - cracking venue and top staff, just wish it was better supported. I've had a few private showings in there!!
Oops sorry ment to do that........ ours has got to be the Clywd Hotel, Shotton in Wales
Our favourite Venues are the one's that look us (they know who they are). The 45's.
@The Stan's I was expecting your answer to be K's bar :P hahaha
SHOTTON...bloody hell...remember the Royal Charter ???
@ the 45's-"Our favourite Venues are the one's that look us (they know who they are)." these would be the welsh venues, then, dude? :-P
V, pmsl - "...that look AFTER us, lol Buggar off ! Rick.
ahaha, I love venues that treat you well........... some places are realy great and give you a drink and treat you realy well others give you crap........... they also know who they are :P

V, typo - honast !, lol
If I had a top 5 they'd be (in no particular order): Marigolds. It's unique, I've always looked forward to it. Fingers bar Walkabout (Newquay) Marigolds again Morley Snooker Centre (it's gone now) @ Smitten Kitten, the Clywd Hotel, Shotton? Never played it but used to go in there, do you remember Ali Todd? He was one of the local characters in Flint/Shotton, we were in a band together in the eighties. MN
Can honestly say I enjoy playing all our venues, not had a bad gig so far this year and looking forward to every single gig we've got booked throughout the rest of the year.Highlights have been Bakers Vaults, Witton Chimes, Old Market Tavern, Jolly Nailor and after last week the Griffin is definitely up there with the best.Looking forward to the Farmyard Party Rally a week on Saturday, will most definitely be our largest audience to date in a huge big top...you just don't turn those kind of gigs down.
Darwen Library Theatre.
In no particular order:The Hindley ArmsThe Old Market TavernThe GriffinMarigoldsIghten Leigh Social ClubThe TalbotThat'll doAYP
Anywhere that goes nuts.
some venues that are rated we havent been to yet. ( we will get there soon ) but we love going to.. jolly nailor cricketers georgia browns seven stars griffen fleece most of these are in taxi distance so if any venue read this we are not saying you havent got a good venue but we havent seen you yet. any live music venue out there deserve all the praise they get, its not easy right now to keep it going. well done to all of you. dee and dave xx
The Hark to Towler in Tottington The Brook in Ramsbottom The Grey Mare in Ramsbottom The Corner Pin, Stubbins (RIP - we miss you, sniff) The White Hart, Burnley (opens and shuts like a saloon door)
Not played or been to alot of these places, but will have to check them out soon
Favourites we have played at are: The Boulevard The Swinley Georgia Browns The Bowling Green (Wigan Lane) Brierfield The Hop Vine (for the acoustic duo plus they have their own micro brewery on site mmmmmm) Venues with a big rep that we would love to play at some point: The Griffin Hindley Arms Old Market Tavern Jolly Nailor
The sun inn in llangollen is always great as we make a weekend of it! good times and good crowds,
The Boulevard is a great Venue! played there with my old band but can't seem to get a slot there with Smitten Kitten
Hand Hotel, Llangollen Fogherty's, Liverpool The Boulevard ( was great but no gigs since change of management)
The Boulevard been getting a lot of shit on here recently, I can only speak for my own experiences but they have always been fantastic with us. There has been several changes of management recently, I can vouch for that. There was a post by one in ten from February that their gig was cancelled for a promoional night and I can confirm it was a promotional night coz I was there.I also know that their diary is pretty much booked up coz we had to change a date with them not so long ago and we struggled to find a date that was good for both parties. I usually deal with Nat, she is cool. It would be great if more acts from the NWB circuit could get on there, as it is both one of my favourite venues and one of my local ones. Plus it has shit hot rail links being no more than a stones throw from the train and bus stations. The Witton Chimes has got a good rep on here, has anyone got a contact number for them?
It was a good 2 years ago or so that we last played the Boulevard so I don't know what it's like now........
