Great venue, shame its in a ghost town.
Decided to make a weekend of it. Travelled up Sat morning, found the venue & our B&B easy enough (ideal as on same street).
Had a walk round Morecambe, nothing spectacular to look at if I'm honest - the place was dead, a lot of B&B's closed down on the bay front and deserted amusement arcades. A once thriving popular coastal resort turned ghost town, shame really. Had some fun in one open arcade though, doing 'Anarchy in the UK' on Guitar Hero...oh how I got the piss taken outa me.
The Bath itself is located just off the main sea front road and about 20 mins drive from the M6. A good decent sized boozer with a raised stage area for bands & plenty of room to set gear up. Very easy parking & loading through front door. Decent acoustics all round. Los (Lorraine) the landlady is a really nice woman, let me drop my drums off when we arrived Sat morn & picked 'em up Sun morn before we left, all safe & sound.
The gig itself went well. For me personally it was always going to be hard living up to the previous week's awesome gig at the Griffin but I think we went down OK, with a few people saying it was good to hear some Punk tunes as opposed to the usual thrashy rock. Not the busiest place ever but a relative & appreciative audience...apart from one bellend who took our rendition of 'White Riot' too far resulting in a stern reminder that The Sugar Bullets DO NOT welcome such ideology and got told to FUCK OFF!! That and a small scuffle didn't overshadow the gig though and rest of folk we're more than supportive, making a few new biker friends that'll be seeing us play at the Farmyard Rally this weekend.
All in all a decent gig & we look forward to returning to The Bath later in the year.
