Ozzy and Motley Crue. Definitely want to catch N.I.B at some point and there's a Crue trib that plays the Towler (but always chooses nights when I'm gigging!!!)

Steely Dan (although whether there's room for another when Nearly Dan are so awesome I doubt) or the Wombles (I'm feeling whimsical).

Early Rod Stewart as in "Rod Stewart and The Faces" - they just went out, got pissed and were a brilliant band to watch. 1973 HardRock, Manchester, I'll never forget that gig ! - it was my first !

I'd like to see a Sweet tribute band. The music is simple enough if you was to just do the commercial stuff, but the harmonies are a total nightmare. It's all very well getting up and doing Fox On The Run, but when you get into The Sweet properly, it'd sound like shite without the harmonies.

I'd like to see a Slade tribute too. The music maybe a bit less three chord, and there's little harmonies, but without that Noddy Holder type voice it'd be a crime. I've seen a few bands do Sweet and Slade and it makes me cringe to hear my old heroes not being given justice. It always fails on the vocals.

@ The 45's... The HardRock, also known at sometime as The Village. everyone who was everyone played there. Bowie Led Zep, T-rex. Other famous artists who performed at The Hardrock include: Elton John; Paul McCartney and Wings; Chuck Berry; Genesis; Black Sabbath; Fleetwood Mac; Status Quo; Bob Marley & The Wailers; Rod Stewart; Deep Purple; James Brown; Lou Reed; Al Green; Ike and Tina Turner; Free; Slade; The Sweet; Gary Glitter; Suzi Quatro; Fats Domino; and Roxy Music.

So you can see it was quite a venue.

Love to see a decent Earth Wind & Fire Tribute with all the Magic and over the top production.

Yeah, I live close by. I sneaked in when they did Lift Off With Ayshea. I think T-rex, Bowie and Mud were on. I must have been about 12-14. I remember we were on the front row and they filmed us and she kissed my school mate on the cheek.

I have looked all over and have not found any photos of that venue and no footage from it an any shape or form. Nothing filmwise from Lift Off With Ayshea either.

Can't say Earthwind and fire grooves my truffles, but I'd love to be a disco bass player in a 70s disco band. Yeah, I like hard rock, but you gotta love that disco shit, man they can play bass.
