OK, not to fuck about here, I'm going to put 5 names that I have actually seen into the pot. Only 5. If I leave you out it's not personal. For the twitchy, they are in no order either.

Metalleeka

well as yet we have not played anywhere in wigan, although we have played at almost every other town within a 30 mile radius, and you never know you might like us, why not have a listen on www.offtherails.me.uk they do seem to like us everywhere else we have played at.

+ 1 for Roadhog and NT out of the ones I've seen. Can also VERY warmly recommend The Subliminals, Wrecked and Marauder if they're not already on your radar.

Poison Whiskey and Tex and the Hardcore Troubadors - as newly established bands (formed from experienced members of other bands who are active on here) and proven commodities they would be "ones to watch".

I work in Wigan... will that sway it?

How many people who have replied to this blog have been to or would support this venue?

Marauder floated my boat, book them.
Hallowed are regulars at the boulevard already..
Black Rose certainly do the Lizzy music justice.
NIB are simply class.
5th Element are a solid female fronted classic rock band.

I watched Metalleeka here before I joined, great town centre music venue. Not sure how the more commercial of bands would fair?

@OOT Keith - I sent them a PM yesterday as I don't have a phone no. & the one on their profile isn't working...so I'm just waiting for them to come back to me.

I agree more Punk would be great but wouldn't want to over-saturate a venue with the same type of music, although having said, since our recent gigs at Griffin Earlestown & Plough Chorley, we've had quite a few people asking us on our Facebook when we're playing closer to Wigan.

Hopefully we can sort something out.

Cheers
Dean
