I haven't bought an album in ages. I prefer to buy individual songs I like and cut out the filler. Having said that the Electric Boys have a new album out and it's awesome. Think I'll be grabbing that.

Black country communion 2 and Black stone Cherry - between the devil and the deep blue sea.

Both stunning!

The last albums I bought...

Biffy Clyro - Only Revolutions
Avenged Sevenfold - Nightmare
Disturbed - Asylum.

I never get individual tracks, it totally nullifies the whole concept of an album. There's a guy at work who only listens to the best tracks off his albums. Now if I did that, I'd have missed out on some tracks that I now really like. Not only that, I'd be bloody bored of my best tune really quickly.

I do how ever delete the odd very bad tracks, but that's seldom necessary.

I loved BSC when I first heard them. Saw them live at Manchester Academy. The bloody PA went ape-shit half way through the gig. After that I think they patched it up and it was aweful. Anyway, point being I don't listen to them anymore as I find all three albums sound too much the same. There's not many bands I've tired of that quickly.

Foo fighters - Wasted Light, brilliant
Rival Sons - like Zep meets Bad Company phenomenal new band
BSC - great riffage but all songs in D/E and tend to sound samey
Black Keys - Brothers, superb album. Attack and Release - even better. Kind of
Bluesy/pulp Fiction style with heavy funk and soul
Them Crooked Vultures - I bought this when it came out but it's worth recommending because it's superb
The Virgin Mary's - Cast the first stone - amazing 3 piece from Macclesfield. STILL unsigned but toured with Slash, Terrorvision, Skunk Anansie, NMA etc brilliant rock band.

Got loads more but won't bore you

Not a big Foo Fighthers fan (I know we play a couple) but was given Wasting light as a birthday pressie, what a great album! Just can't get Walk out of my head.

Postcards from a young man, Manics, another pressie, another great album.

I've also been having a bit of a re-buy of old stuff, some I'd owned on vinyl some not.

Bluesbreakers/Clapton - had taped off a pal on a C90 once so got it on CD. Better than I remember!
Albert King with SRV - great, worth it just for the cover, Albert giving it large on a Flying V and a big pipe...
Gary Moore - Corridors of Power - had this on vinyl, intro to End of the World - wow.
BB King - Live at the Regal - was recommended, and for 'feel' it's a real lesson
ZZ Top - Rancho Texicano (best of) - they're way better than I thought!
Vaughan Williams/LPO - Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis
Motorhead - No Remorse - had it on gatefold in leather (down the cellar now?)- super sing-along

I think I may be missing out on contemporary stuff...what should I try???...(think that's a new thread)...

K T Tunstall - Tiger Suit - utter rubbish
Endless Highway - Songs of The Band - excellent
Darrell Scott, Kenny Malone and Danny Thompson, Live in NC - brilliant
The Decemberists - The King Is Dead - still growing
Band Of Heathens - Live from Momos (free download) - long and rambling
Band Of Heathens - Top Hat Crown and the Clapmaster's Son - still growing
