and it was delicious this time!

Just got back from watching The Jackson Kay Band at The Anchor in Darwen with Babsmewife and Kerrymedaughter. Wick and Anne (45's) joined us aswell. Apparently they sell really rather smashing conservatories don'tchaknow....

First of all, cracking little venue with inhouse PA which sounds great, and a covered over outside stage for when the weather is good - like today!!

I'm not going to rehash Tubthumpers earlier review, I just wanted to say that I agree with everything in that earlier post and this band are everything I suspected they would be once they lost the 'guest' singers.

FANTASTIC!!

Fantastic Band indeed and a superb gig - very uplifting and entertaining.

Nice to meet Dan the Man, the Landlord (Willow's double, pmsl) and of course to have a beer with Almypal. Hope you enjoy the prezzie Al.

Jackson Kay - a must see band,

Cheers,

Rick.

Just read Tubthumper's excellent review, and from the first two tracks they played at the flyer without the punters, I'll be up for seeing them again.
