Gig at the Towler Fri night then 'Party In The Park' piss up Sun afternoon

Played the Hark to Towler Fri night - being a local meant it was time for all my mates to pile in & watch a noisy bastard Punk band. Anyhoo was a great gig, apart from one chap who in the midst of pogoing like a good un only went and snapped his achilles...the 1st serious injury we've witnessed at a Sugar Bullets gig...apart from the guy who tripped over a monitor & nearly knocked himself out in Atherton. Hope he's ok anyway. Always a pleasure to play the Towler...raised stage, good in-house PA...good local support. And a whole bunch of top bands booked in there this year by Jo the LL who's doing a great job. www.thesugarbullets.co.uk

Went to 'Party In The Park' in Totti on Sunday afternoon, an absolute scorcher of a day (fookin burnt me neck). This is an annual outdoor event held opposite the church...7 bands, beer/food stalls and at least a thousand people. The bands were OK, mostly young bands/musicians who were playing the gig of their lives in front of all those people and provided a good atmosphere for all us perched on our deck chairs beer in hand!. There were 2 more experienced bands I really enjoyed...the Irish jig band who had everyone up dancing & singing....and also another local band 'Dirty Little Secret' who I already knew, loads of good popular rock tunes with a brass section finished off a top day. The PA sound wasn't best...but had had enough beer not to care!
