Royal Oak Blackpool !! PLEASE READ !!

We played there last night after some discussion !!!! The up shot is , is that the pub temporary closed last Monday and re-opened Friday with NEW landlord !!

The New Guy Peter Wealthhall has asked me to put this blog here to ask all bands who are booked here to ring this number 0758 292 6560 he wants to talk to you all and sort this situation as a matter of urgency !!!

He seems to be a good bloke and to some degree i feel sorry for him because hes been lets say given a nice welcome to being a landlord and wants to get things up and running back to some sort of normality !!

I strongly urge you to do this as you could end up making a wasted journey !!

Curse of the Oak strikes again. I feel sorry for the poor bugger. Wonder how long this one will last.

Quite a tale unearthed here but our booking is safe. It seems plenty of effort to sort this situation at the oak will be made.
I have to say that I was made privy to some information that has left a sour taste in my mouth.

i was at the oak watching pink floydish last friday and met the new landlord pete.
pete seems a nice guy and eager to get the oak into a good buisness venture
again with live music entertainment, he does have a list of inherented bands
and gig dates from the last landlord.
i was greatfull to him for giving us the chance to play next friday but one sabre member was
unavailable to do the gig, however the date has now been sorted with a band so no problems now,
so as Mark from the Burrito,s says, check with the venue and do send your posters early
enough for them to make a difference to your gig and boost the clientel on the night.
try and get your following in there and help keep this venue going.
the stage is very wide and the big open room give,s the audience a good veiw wherever
they are sat or stood. rooms like the oak are far and few bettween these days

pete.

James, I'm sure that there's someone in the background pulling strings at that pub it's been fucked up for at least a decade that I know of.

We have confirmed our gigs with "New" Pete. I've played at the Oak for 20years now and yes there have been too many cooks "helping out" and monopolising the Oak. Time will tell if things will change.
