Watched the Jackson Kay Band last night..

Just a bit of feedback, can't be bothered with a full review!

I watched the JK band at the Towler in Tottington last night.. I had seen a few good reviews recently so thought they would be worth checking out. Ended up really enjoying the night, totally unexpected setlist but in a really good way.. I was singing to a 5ive song at one point?! How the hell does that happen? Haha, really makes a difference to hear some unexpected fun 'cheesy' songs for a change as apposed to a lot of the usual stuff. What I like about these guys is, ok, they play cheesy songs but they play/sound really good.. Obviously great musicians, a lot of great harmonies etc and generally a really good set up.
I have to say quite a few songs weren't really my 'cup of tea' but the songs I liked - I loved (if that makes sense...?) Then again they had people dancing away to the songs I wasn't overly keen on so its just my personal opinion. Would recommend these guys for a bit of fun, easy listening music played in a good skilled way. Good work guys!

Thanks very much for the positive feed-back Anthony, much appreciated.

I see we got you singing to 5ive...(that's the power of the BEEFYCHEESE!!, it's very powerful stuff....we've had heavy metal bikers head banging to our Take That covers in the past! (It's great to watch! You can see them thinking "i shouldn't be doing this, but I can't help it! Damn that beefycheese!"

I understand completely that not all the songs would have been your cup of tea, (a lot of them arn't our cup of tea either but, if people will dance to 'em, we will 'em as people dancing = busy gig diary and we a musical slags the lot of us and will play anything to get more bookings! ha ha

cheers Dan
