Band Needed this Saturday - Large Outdoor Village Fete

Ricky Tomlinson is opening it! Cover Band needed for an hour slot.. PA Provided

Village Day/Fete in Ainsworth, Bolton this Saturday. Usually a really busy day with all sorts going on and they want a band for the early afternoon slot. It is held on an outdoor field next to a main road and they have a stage up, with a nice loud PA provided. (SKP did it last year)

A band is needed to play for around 1 hour, and the fee is £100. Need a good modern, easy listening Covers Band to fill the slot.. As stated above, The Royale Family's own Ricky Tomlinson is kicking the day off.. Poor guy's career has changed a bit from regular primetime TV and the Mike Basset film, Farmfoods adverts and opening Village Fetes its where its at! :)

I am just asking on here on behalf of a mate who's organizing it so PM if you're interested and I'll put you in touch..

Cheers

Anthony

Good exposure this one aswel, local venues to this Village Fete are The Sevenstars, Rose & Crown, Bottom Bull..... get a name for yourself in the area and it will most probably open some doors..

hahaha - just as long as the dj (equipped with the finest..2 cd players and 6 boxes of cd's) knows he needs to leave a bit more space than a 2m square on a 40ft hgv trailer for a full band outfit lmao!!

oh and the organisers remember that climbing a 5 ft ladder (secured to iron railings with a washing line) with pa speakers, drum kit, guitar amps etc.. strapped to your back isnt really very good on the health n safety front because whoever dropped the trailer off parked it too close to railings which enclose the whole park!

just a bit of forward planning with the hgv driver, and a quiet word in the dj's ear
eg "YOU DONT NEED 30FT OF SPACE FOR 2 FEKKING CD PLAYERS YOU T*T!" - that should do it lmao!

surprisingly - we cant do it this year we're otherwise engaged lol x

other than that - twas good fun to anyone fancying it...bass bins a must - large open outdoor space just make sure you contact the organisers before saturday to make sure the problems as mentioned above dont re-occur - possibly suggest a band gazebo in front of the stage on ground level rather than the trailer, you'd be able to drive straight onto the grass and unload without any problems :-)

enjoy x

Sounds like one to avoid, who needs the hassle? Unless you have all the above problems sorted, then My band RED32 is free this Saturday , a classic rock band covering The Faces,Pink Floyd,The Doors, Deep Purple,Joe Bonammasa, The Rolling Stones, Alice Cooper, and many more,
A classic rock 5 piece, Guitar & Vocals, Keys and Vocals, Drums, Bass and Lead vocalist with blues Harp if you can up the money ( double at least, but I will have to negoiate with the lads) we can do it ,we have our own PA about 5k if needed.
