I was just about to point out that they had not learnt the great British tradition of dropping the baton but at just over 3 minutes, there it was!!!
Only thing missing for me - where was the fat kid at the back walking and eating crisps!!!

;0)

@ Johnny, what do you mean "when" I played football? I played tonight (in slow motion) and still going strong.

Even got Dean from The Sugar Bullets to join us tonight - he's a good un too.

Wick.

Oh and thanks for the other comments.

If only ALL kids participated in sport, at any level, the streets would be safer for everybody,

Rick.

@ Rick - your daughter looks like a match fixer.....dark glasses, clipboard, casting evils at anyone approaching the finishing line out of order, stopwatch to keep an eye on the splits she's arranged for maximum returns......allegedly

I have to say (as I said when you posted this clip on fb) I'm seriously impressed with the production values in the video - it's really really well done. But I am also astonished that schools still have sports days let alone ones on this scale, and with this level of organisation. I honestly thought they'd died a death with the PC brigade and the dilemma of making sure there were no losers when obviously the events didn't all end in dead heats.

The same PC brigade now want teachers to have more control over their pupils having taken that away from them in the not too distant past. Bollocks !

Sport builds team spirit and a sense of belonging. Win or lose !

My proudest school memories are of holding the discus and shot put lobbing records, riding in the school bus to away hockey matches and taking very creative short cuts around the cross country run course without being rumbled...my stealth was such that I really have missed my vocation as an assassin (or shoplifter).
