Venue review

Hi all.

Face Value played the venue last Saturday night and just thought I would write a quick review of it here.

Lovely pub in the middle of the countryside. Large kiddies play area and the pub itself is a food/real ale tye pub which is starting to make a name for itself as a music venue.

Ray Bispham who used to own and run The Limelight in Crewe is the owner and Landord. A big Rush fan who is really into his music, Ray is a great bloke who will always be fair in his dealing with bands.

Load in is through the main enterance which is up six steps. We were unable to bring our full rig in as the stage space wouldn't allow it, but we took some lights and two bass bins and tops in and the sound was great to be fair.

There is an old caravan for a dressing room which is clean and offers shower and toilet etc. Better than getting changed for the gig in a kitchen or cellar ;-)

We had a great time there and got well over 100 paying customers in. All seemed really into what we did and got a lot of great feedback.

I have no problems recommending this venue to all the NWB crowd.

Best wishes

John
