Drummer needed

They are STILL looking for a permanent drummer to rehearse and gig with playing UFO/SCHENKER tunes.

I have done a few rehearsals with them and have to say they are getting the songs spot on, they are a good bunch of blokes (no ego's yay!!) and have the right attitude towards doing justice to the covers.

The songs are quite involving in some respect as previous drummers for UFO and Schenker were by no means average. Ted McKenna, Simon Phillips, Robbie France, Cozy Powell... to name a few.
I personally think the songs are excellent rock tunes to play, shuffly rock, driving heavy rock, odd time signatures.
Volume and speed not necessary, musicality and a good ear is..

They have 2 full sets of covers songs currently being worked on.

Band is as per UFO line up Vocals, Lead and Rhythm Guitarist, Keyboards rhythm guitarist, bass, and drums.
Looking to play quality gigs over quantity...so may be an option as a side project for someone. (?)
Currently rehearsing at Stockport Greenhouse, (yes, yes up stairs but they have a lift!).

I can honestly say this would be a great opportunity for someone to play some great songs, enjoy the drumming, work with top blokes and I believe get some great gigs.

If you want an idea of the sort of stuff being covered:

Michael Schenker:
Armed and Ready
On and On
Lost Horizons

UFO:
Doctor Doctor (be rude not to include this!!)
Rock bottom (live - Strangers in the night album)
Only you can Rock me
Shoot shoot
Lights out

***********If you are or know anyone interested*********

Let me know I'll or get in touch with the guy's.

Thanks for you time...

I would do it in a heartbeat but i absolutely cannot afford to trail to Stockport for rehearsals. I can barely keep my car on the road as it is. Pity really as I love the idea of gigging in a "tribute" band where my anal ness about reproducing the drum track faithfully to the original might be appreciated instead of ridiculed!

@ Drummer Boy

We are currently rehearsing in Stockport.

Not to sure if we will be staying there or not as we have tried a few places just recently.

After seeing Mad Micky at High voltage and back to his best I would love to do this - but I think there is a legal limit to how many tribute bands you can be in...lol

Can recommend Dave from our days together in Tuskan - must be someone out there that fancies this - I will certainly be at a gig or two watching.
