Senheiser I find are usually better than the shure ones , when you compare their similar priced models to each other...Ive had 4 models between both companies. The Senhiesers are better built, both the mics and the transmitters. Also Senhieser have a out of warranty rework section you can post your mic or reciever to at Milton Keynes and thay will repair them, You will have to check this out because I havent done this for a while .. Shure never did any out of warrenty repairs .. Also remember a radio mic is fragile compared to a good old wired SM58
Some of the better AKG wireless mics are also very good, when Ive used hire companies or house PA's.
I would also have a look at the Line 6 radio mics , (see if you can get a deal Im not sure of your budget) .
One of their models ( I think they do 2) are certainly on my top 5 list of things to buy...
I,ll probably try and negotiate one as im hoping to get a few new PA bits and pieces before to long.
Check out the line 6 mics demos on you tube.

Sennhieser all the way for me.

Great mics and the after sales / out of warranty is superb.

Best wishes

ive used a sennheiser ew100 for over 10 years, excellent sounding quality mic.

however be aware that the rules on transmitter frequencies are changing in 2012 a lot of stores will be trying to off load their older stock cheaply but they will be no use to you after the new year.
make sure you buy a compatable transmitter or it could be an expensive ornament.

Hi, I use a Shure PGX Wireless system with a Beta 58A Head. Have used other mics but have found this to be the best one for me.

I was in the Rose and Crown . I was out over that way during the day and on my way home when I remembered about the band.
Me and the Girlfriend had been out in Leyland park with dogs, out having a spin ... Not being from these parts I asked a few peeps if the pub was near... a few dodgy turns and a U turn or two we found the pub... Tracey ( our lass, as we say back in the NE) had a night shift so when we got there we only planned to watch the 1st spot, but as time went on, we reckoned we could watch all the show and she could just get to work in time.. we had to leave as the singer introduced the last song , or was it an encore? Im not sure? it may have been Hey rock and roll-Showaddwaddy.
I didn't know anyone else in the pub or recognize anyone from any other bands I may have seen since Ive been here,
We sat on a table top, near the ladies loos... are you a rock a billy lad who's mrs stood on my foot? LOL.
I would have tried to hello to the lads in the band as I have played 80% or so of their show for 12 years or so LOL, but we had to rush..I don't remember talking to anyone else ,apart from a lad at the bar about my accent. LOL
be thankful I can and do talk for England!
