why not karaoke tracks?

when i did my solo stuff a few years back all my tracks were karaoke.

i found them far better than the usual midi files, they are better balanced & crisper sounding and most importantly they all used real instruments.

some of the very old karaoke tracks had a vocal melody line and some had had fade out endings but i just didnt use them if they did.

i had a number of elvis tracks that were from sound choice an american karaoke company, nearly all their tracks are of the highest quality and very few fade outs.

i have heard some solo artists using midi files and they are not a patch on some of the karaoke tracks around. i wouldnt disregard them as they are cheaper and more widely available.

the only down side to karaoke tracks is if you want to play guitar along to the track.

Andy

have you tried www.musicroom.com?

They have loads of backing tracks that you can download straight to your PC - £2.50 a track - and you can listen to them before you buy to check the quality.

Cheers
