Anyone know a decent venue in Wigan?

Been asked to sort a gig out in Wigan...

Having played a few gigs this year in neighbouring areas such as Chorley, Leigh and Newton-Le-Willows we've been asked by numerous people who've seen us to sort a gig out in Wigan.

The Boulevard is unfortunately fully booked for 2012 already so we're on the lookout for another venue in the town suitable to bring our 'Classic Punk' show to.

Anyone with any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Cheers
Dean

Is there an echo...echo...echo...

Can't believe The Boulevard are fully booked for next year ALREADY!?! Having said that I've just seen there's already a few Punk bands booked there...Out of Town, LGIT, Bax Rafter...and too much of the same can sometimes be a bad thing at the same venue. I'd rather those guys have good gigs and us concentrate on building up other areas.

Should be ok for 5 a side, though need to preserve some energy for Fri/Sat onslaught so may bring me gloves.

I said I may bring me gloves...bring me gloves I say...

You can use the boulevard on a Friday night to host your own gig... we are..

Ps. What's the deal with 5-a-side?

@James
Whats the deal with this Friday night hosting then? Is it a ticket job?

5-a-side with Wick on a Thursday...we vent all our anger out, get an injury then have a beer...

@H&H
Thanks for the suggestion but looking ideally at Wigan Center. Funny you should mention Ashton...I popped in to a place in Ashton-I-M not so long ago whilst out for a meal in the area, I was rudely told they wouldn't book us for a fri/sat cos we're not 'classic rock', "no way" would they pay us our usual fee and they wanted a guaranteed coach load through the door (their words). It was obviously clear their pub is very quiet, think there were only 2 people in when I went in. The attitude of the woman was laughable though, and desperate.

Theres club nirvana, also the cherry gardens has re-opened.

On the 5 a side thing where do you guys play? Room for a fat one? Cheers
