Junction 10, between Walsall & Wolverhampton, because it’s an odd shape but also because I used to walk across it on my way to college and think “they’re all going somewhere interesting and I’m not”. I was probably wrong but I still smirk when I drive under it.

No one corrected my deliberate mistake. The M55 is obviously J32, not 31.

Worst one is that Lancaster/Morecambe one going up M6...in rain!...you're wizzing along at 70mph in a fully loaded van then you come to that...like something from Alton Towers!

@Mick Nash - they weren't going anywhere interesting - just straight into a traffic jam!!! When I worked down there a couple of years back I always took that route (The Black Country Way - there;s a song in there!!) as it kept moving!

:0)

....I admit, I had to sing "Goodbye Blackcountry Way" everytime!!! lol

Wasn't "Goodbye Blackcountry Way" the first record played on Radio 1 ?
@ James, re: Junction 34, yes I'd noticed...but it didn't make me laugh!

Best junction for driving is southbound m6 onto east bound m56 ... Lovely sweeping left hander,a slight right hander with reverse camber then up the left hander on to the 56 .... with the added complication of traffic joining from the left as you sweep up the right hander

@ james, i have the same sad sense of humour, hell i still giggle when i trump, will keep my eyes out for this sign- maybe an accident waiting to happen!!!

# Posted by Jez (Route 69) - 16/09/2011, 13:38 (GMT)

@james luke - I always thought the sign as you approach Ashton U Lyne from yorkshire looked like a turtle balancing on one leg. I then realised after many years it was only me who saw this and that I was probably too old for any corrective medical attention!!! lol

;0)

I'll keep my eye out for it too!

damn you jez for making me google that....but you're right..no corrective medication needed..maybe just some support for the poor turtle, he's been there a while now...probably dying for a shit, I can almost see the tur...............well you know the rest ha ha
