Hi Guys, for weeks now I have been unable to access some information on the site. For some reason if I try to link to a band, everything becomes 'frozen' any suggestions please? Also, now I can't do a search either or access the gig guide.

Hi Jackie, this is Nina, Landlady of the King Edward Vii. I use this site every day and this has happened to me before, contact Paul in admin, he's really helpful.By the way, on a personal note, I tried calling you today to offer any numbers you want for bands. They said you wer'nt in until 8pm, so I was gonna call and introduce myself.I have over 150 bands on my books so let me know iwhat you need and we can 'work together'on providing live music to Blackpool!! Good to have you onboard the music scene! Give me a call anyttime on 01253 623521.

Hi Nina, many thanks for this. Would be great to meet you tonight or any other time. I'm sure you have lots of advice to offer us and it would be great if we could spend some time (even midweek when we're quiet & can get out for a drink lol)going through some things. Just off to theatre with kids :-o

Cheers, catch u later

Hi Jackie, if you are using Internet Explorer you may have more luck with a different browser, firefox is better and free, you can download it from here, http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Andy

PS if it works the first link you could check out is www.myspace.com/samsara999 ;-)

I think might have something to do with your browser and how it handles redirects.

If you notice, if you type in www.northwestbands.co.uk/mrnwb it gets auto redirected to www.northwestbands.co.uk/profile/default.aspx?id=8

Most browsers will let redirects fine, however if you have some strict firewall/security settings, then the redirect may not work.

Ive not heard of any other people having a problem. If you have, then let me know.

Also, not being able to use the gigguide and search facility suggests to me that you dont have JAVASCRIPT enabled on your browser. Try resetting/disabling your browser settings and see if the site works.

Arrrghhhhh.....still cant get it going. I downloaded firefox which didn't make any difference, checked javascript was enabled - which was fine so i then tried updating it but I still can't access gig guide or search facility. Also any links e.g. when i try to access mr nwb's link above it just freezes. The strange thing is I don't have this problem with any other site and even when i log into my daughters laptop, i still have the same problem.......very strange! Any more advice much appreciated....

Cheers

Hmm. thats is odd. Do both the laptop and main computer run the same antivirus software?? Try disabling it, and trying the links then.

Not sure if I'm going mad now lol. I took the laptop to the pub, which runs on a different server (BT at pub and 3 at home) and hey presto I can access everything! So it must be a problem with the 3 network????

At home now (on 3 network) and its working!!! Maybe it was the java update or summit just kicking in last night.....Cheers for all the help, at least I'll have an idea what to do should it happen again.

Cheers
