It's a pretty obscure number, you've probably never heard it.

And before anyone starts getting precious......it's a JOKE. Well, it was meant to be. Actually, it still is a joke. I suppose it's a question of whether it's funny or not. Probably not. You can't please all the people all the time, (unless you're member of WHATEVER!).

the number of people is irrelevant as they would obviously change it for something obscure that didn't actually fuckin fit

One to skat the instructions and the over to improvise.

lightbulb would be too predictable .. they would screw in a packet of wine gums or a dead seagull and then several other jazz musicians would stare at it wistfully pulling on their full round the chin from ear to ear beard with no tache combos saying things like "i think thats how porter and zawniwul would have interpretted the missing light issue as well"....

or.....

they would just repeatedly flick the light switch on and off in 19 over 63 time

Went to "Small's Jazz Club" in New York a few year ago, best laugh me and the missus have ever had.

Not laughing at the Band, they were great with plenty of guests getting up.

It's was the crowd's dress sense. There must be more Charity shops in The Big Apple than fekkin Starbucks cafes !, lol,

Rick.

I went to Ronnie Scotts in Birmingham to see Dave Weckl. Bumped into Dion Dublin. Lovely chap. Loves his drums and loves his jazz funk. Grrrrreat!
