Bass Cab Project

A lightweight 2x12 Cab Kit for cheap.

I am fortunate in knowing Mike Walsh, (Zoot Basses and Purple Chili Cabs), quite well. He builds his Bass and Guitar Cabs out a special lightweight ply and his supplier is a much guarded secret.
I managed to get a 2x12 Purple Chili PCB212T Shell off him when he did a slight re-design recently.
I've since being doing some beta-testing for EAD and won't now get time to finish the project off.

It will build up to one hell of Bass Cab. The carcase is "lighter than a fart" and I got a full hardware pack from Mike, (Corners, Handles, Feet, Back--Plate, Acoustic Wadding etc.), and have had a crossover designed and parts supplied by Audio Components which is the absolute "dogs". I have sourced some really nice Burgundy Tolex type material to cover it in and also a piece of aluminium grill material. So everything is there except the drivers.
It will sound superb with an Eminence APT 80 and 2 x Celestion BN12 300S Neo drivers, (or Eminence Deltas or Deltalights).
This as a Cab that retails at around £600+.
I am after £85 for the kit, and it would be around £120-140 for the drivers, so a really nice light, 600W, boutique Bass Cab could be had for around £225 in all.
This is the cab it will build up to:

I had the route filled in that runs round the cab, (allowing 2 different shades of covering), as I intended on covering it in 1 colour.
Any more info required, give me a shout.

What tools do you think would be needed to construct this?

cheers

Matt, It is already constructed. The "box" was supplied assembled with all the routing done, so it is really just an assembly process.
A can of glue to stick the covering and accoustic wadding on.
Screwdriver to fit the protective corners, feet, handles, backplate etc.
The hardest part would be building the x-over, which would need a soldering iron, but i could probably do that as it will not take long.

Here's a couple of pics. Even the front baffle has been "blacked", although I have a piece of black carpet covering to cover it ensuring an airtight seal.
A Couple of pics.
