Had a top night with Jackson Kay Band

Saturday at Rose & Crown, Ainsworth.....thanks guys.

Had wanted to see JKB for a while but clashes with our gigging schedules this year meant I had to wait for a weekend off, luckily that weekend off JKB were booked to play my local....coincidence? Never...

Having now seen them and survived the hangover, make no mistake the Jackson Kay Band are the ultimate party band! A good mix of cheesy pop/chart covers old & new but with their own funky 'JKB slant' and it sounded excellent from start to finish.

A close knit group of competent & confident players who definitely know how to entertain an audience, without taking themselves too seriously. I genuinely doubt there's a better band out there playing this type of stuff.

Was great to meet JKB drummer Dan, nice to meet you fella & thanks for a top night.

A comment on the pub's Facebook page the next morning:
"Best band to ever play at the rose last night... Jackson Kay".

Hope to catch you again soon,
Dean

Cheers Dean,
Was good to meet up with you and thanks for that glowing review! (the fivers in the post:0) Its the audience that makes the night, and saturday nights crowd were fantastic. I would recomend the rose and crown as one of the best pubs to play, brilliant crowd and staff.

cheers Dan
