Anyone have any DMX lights/cables I could borrow for a little while?

Just so that I can experiment with a few things.

Basically, I was talking to the lighting guy at the "But Why? Biker Rally" on Saturday night and he basically had the complete lighting rig (and it was a monster...and the lighting rig wasn't bad either....IFANKOO), all hooked up to two Midi Keyboards which in turn was hooked up to software called "Show Magic" running on the laptop. I have a midi keyboard, and a pc, and the free version of the software so I was gonna get one of these DMX Dongles and have a play with it and see if a) I can figure out what the fek I'm doing cos I'm completely clueless when it comes to lighting, and b)If it's possible to replicate in the live environment at a fraction of the cost of buying a complete DMX controller desk and all the fancy lights to got with it.

If anyone has done this sort of thing before and can offer any sort of advice, or could lend me some DMX lights and cables for a short period of time to have a play then that would be coolio.

Ta merry vuchly.

What's the make/model of the controller?
How much would you be looking for it?

I'm in Chorley, so not far from Blackburn.

Hi Scott, feel free to PM me as we use a keyboard controller DMX lighting setup, and I'm in Bamber Bridge (near Spen!!).

TBH decent mic leads work as well on shorter (upto 100') runs.

PS - it was good to do sound for you guys on Sat night a well.
