Anyone know where i can gat a months cover ?
Tried a few online but all quotes are about the same cost of 6 to 12 months insurance ??? Or is that the going rate ?
i recently got a months cover for about £80 - but it was with my current insurers (bought new one - still had (have) old one waiting to advertise)I think i looked up a one-off quote recently and it was over £100 for a monthI'd try ringing them - always better talking to someone
Cheers Willow i'll ring them, my new quote for the year is £500. Cheapest quote for a month was £240 !!!
Try this link mateyhttp://www.moneysupermarket.com/car-insurance/short-term/
Can you not just take out a normal policy, opt to pay it monthly and then cancel it when you no longer need it?
"Can you not just take out a normal policy, opt to pay it monthly and then cancel it when you no longer need it?"If you do that, you will be charged for time under cover and admin fees and cancellation fees and could lose no-claims bonus in certain circumstances.I believe Budget do monthly cover but I'm not sure at what costDon

Dare I say it.................... Oh why not!!!
Thanks everyone but I went for the option of paying an annual in monthly instalments, it was something I was considering as a fall back (like Nic mentioned). I doubt I'll find cheaper even including the cost of admin fee to cancel the insurance... Eeeh it's proper pickle and looks like there's a gap in the market !!!
