My Ultimate to Daz , as is this track to mate , couldnt believe it when they rahg me from Rock Radio the day he died .because i was infuriated with them for having no tribute or anouncement at all and it was nearly 4pm !

when it Aired later that day this was on in the background while i was chattin away with my Lanky accent lol
I sounded like Chorlton and the wheelies,

My only claim to fame ehh and it had to be on such a horrible day . a week later we lost my old band mate to !

i remember gary moore doing that fender strat night celebration thing ... he did red house and it was a good 10 minutes of absolutely majestic and stunning guitar playing ..... now i wouldnt claim to be a massive fan of gary moore but i know what a really good guitar player sounds like ... and thats what i saw on that show.....

the funniest bit was gary moore walking off and somebody else ( i think it was dear ol hank marvin ) walking onstage afterwards to do his bit with a "i am not equipped either technically or emotionally to follow that you evil lousy bastards!" look on his face.

Put a blog about the irreplaceable Gary Moore last week. Quite simply he was my 'Jimi Hendrix' and had such a wide ranging career....blues, jazz fusion, Lizzy, shred, rock, AOR hits, celtic rock and back to blues.
Such success will never be matched again....IMHO!

BTW if I had to choose one piece?......'The Loner"
