Shock Horror

Hi all.

Not that I give a FUGG but..............

Is it just me or does anyone else think this is a cynical marketing ploy for a "reunion tour" in two years time?

Louis Walsh is gutted. A statment from the pop svengali said

" My head and heart are in pieces but fortunately my pen1s is still in One Direction"..... ;-)

Best wishes

John

Hahahahah. 4 chairs indeed.

We used to call them the One Lung band. Always sounded like one lung supplying 4 mouths. No wonder they never did an up tempo song. I thought they HAD split up ages ago. Doh.

Never mind peeps! If you really need to listen to a shit load of cheesy ballads, Chris De Burgh has just released his mandatory pre Christmas offering of sugar rich tat.

Can't you just tell it's getting to that time of year? No doubt we'll have the same from Cliff Richard and Daniel O'Donnell.................

Watch this space................

I have to say that the point is being missed here....

I couldn't give a flying fugg about Westlife/JLS/One Direction etc etc but do you think that given the state of the "Biz" and as the ticket sales for the tour were not doing well Westlife will do a "Take That / Stone Roses/ Steps and do a "Reunion Tour" in the next two years ;-)

That and the Louis Walsh joke........

Best wishes

John

I can barely see to type this message because I'm flooded with tears. Just who will satisfy my need for turgid cover versions of songs with inevitable shoe-horned repeated final choruses with a key change? I know all X-Factor winners songs have that but they only release one song and then their career is over. Westlife gave me consistency and showed me the unwritten rule that whenever you go up a tone or two in a song, you have to stand up. We never got to find out what happened if they started a song in a higher key then modulated to a lower one in the last chorus - that's the true tragedy in all this.

Oh my poor broken heart. How will I ever get over it? I know..... I'll stick a giant marrow up my Gary and call myself Crystal.

I didn't even know these fannies were still together anyway. LOL.

I, for one, am gutted. My thoughts go out to the family and friends affected by this tragedy. I'm hoping they set up a foundation in reaction to the passing of one of god's greatest creation. Something good must come from this tragedy.
If you are affected - like i am - by the news, help is out there. You needn't suffer alone...

Was gonna try and throw some westlife lyrics into this, but i couldn't remember any. Strange that...

@John - don't question the musical genius of Westlife. "Unbreakable" is the "Teenage symphony to God" that Brian Wilson tried AND FAILED to write with "Smile". In time it'll grow to eclipse overblown pompous tosh like OK Computer, Revolver, Blood on the Tracks, Dark Side of the Moon and all that crap and take it's place as popular music's finest hour.

Ha ha ha! That could be a very contentious debate!

Or the other odd one out could be the fact that The Easystars Allstars haven't covered a Dylan Album!

Ooooh! Good response, though I'd be very interested to hear a Dylan album done in a dub-style. Until then, well have to be content with this as the most unorthodox Dylan cover around:
