Oh that's horrible. I've played there often and was the first drummer to get fisted from behind by his new portrait before he got the plastic cover installed. A truly nice guy. Very sad loss.

What sad news, I've probably played there maybe 20-30 times over the years with both reload and rusty and was always a joy to see his jigging about to the tunes and always a smile on his face. I'm with runners above, its very sad and he will be sorely missed by all who know him and play there. Mine and Reload's thoughts are with jaycee and family at this sad time...

This has blown me away, always have a good long chat with John when we play there. Absolutely gutted for John, his family and friends. If ever a man was a live music lover, John had a passion for bands.

Stunned tbh. RIP.

John Was A Really Great Guy...When I first came to the UK The Man & Scythe was the first bar I had a drink in..Thats when I met him...John was very proud of his bar..He gave my wife and I the grand tour and told us all about the history of the place...He also gave me my first Pub gig here in the UK.....I can't express how sad this makes me to hear this terrible news...

~MY SINCERE CONDOLENCES TO JAYCEE AND ALL HIS FAMILY~
